Author Guidelines

Interested parties are invited to make a submission to the AIC Annual Review no later than January 31 of any year. In your submission you cand send news regarding your activities, such as interesting projects, current research by your members and events/conferences/meeting details. Those submissions considered to be a good fit will be subject to peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, all authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included in the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets.

The AIC Annual Review Editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review your text. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF SUBMISSIONS:

A) If you are one of these cases: AIC Regular, Associate, Affiliated member, and Study Group, read the Submission Checklist below and send your documents to annualreview@aic-color.org.

B) If you are not in case A) above, read the Submission Checklist below; you need to register on this Website as an author and submit your document online.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submitted texts for the AIC Annual Review must meet the following requirements.

  1. Send or upload your documents no later thant January 31.
  2. Your submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  3. Length: no more than 2000 words
  4. Language: English.
  5. File format: .doc MS Word format.
  6. Add no more than 4 jpeg high-quality images (300 dpi) with a short caption description (please send as individual files, not embedded in any .doc).
  7. Add the logo of your association and/or AIC Congress/Conference as another jpeg image (if your submission falls into this case).
  8.  
  9. If any, all references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  10. All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  11. Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets, and other material provided with your submission.

  1. Source of Personal Data
    Users provide their personal data directly during registration to the AIC Annual Review website.
  2. Purpose of Data Processing
    Personal data is used to enable access to the website and participation in the activities of the AIC Annual Review, including manuscript submission, peer review, and communication between users.
  3. Legal Basis
    The processing of personal data complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The legal basis is the performance of a contract (use of the OMP platform) and compliance with legal obligations related to AIC Annual Review management.

  4. Recipients of Personal Data
    Personal data is accessible only to authorized association members and will never be transferred to unauthorized third parties.
  5. Transfer of Data Outside the EU
    No personal data will be transferred outside the European Union. Data is stored on servers provided by Aruba S.p.A., located in Italy, EU.
  6. Data Retention Period Data will be retained for a maximum of 10 years from the registration date or the last significant activity on the website.
  7. Right to Erasure
    Users can request the deletion of their personal data by closing their account directly through the website or writing to  specifying which AIC publication they wish to be deleted from.
